The Challenge
The show was premiering at the same time as the feature film, and we were looking for a way to differentiate the content from each other while getting people excited about the show. Talent coordination and scheduling was the biggest hurdle as we had to set up several remote villages to get everyone in one place at one time. However, in the end, that added to the authenticity of the campaign.
The Strategy
To promote the series, we focused on the life, legacy, and triumph that Aretha Franklin continues to ignite by interviewing people she has a personal connection to and having them reflect on her impact on their individual journeys.
